How Will I Close Lessons?
Lesson closure is where you wrap up the lesson, emphasise key information, tie up loose ends, correct common misconceptions and help learners consolidate and organize the information in a meaningful way. This can usually be achieved by a brief summary or overview given by you. Alternatively, you could set your learners an activity to consider what they have learnt, how it fits into their current knowledge, how the new information transfers to new situations and/or what they need to do next… in other words reflect!
Briefly explain what they will be learning next. It’s important to make these links so learners have a holistic understanding of where this lesson fits in the larger context.
